Video Games Day

Today is video games day in your world, which seems like a rather silly holiday when you think about it because people play video games all the time. Why make up a special annual holiday for something that happens everyday? Unless you’re specifically dedicating the entire day to playing video games and doing nothing else, which I both doubt and do not recommend. Video games are fun and all, but take breaks and do other things! Moderation is key. Too much of anything is bad for you.

Now, how can I shamelessly turn this post into a promotion for the Keep? I was planning on creating some sort of natural segue into how some of the stories hidden in the Keep are video games and isn’t this just the perfect day to go and find them and all that, but I didn’t want to risk coming across all gimmicky. Is that even a word?

I could discuss video games and how they’re not as bad for you as you might believe, or I could talk about how they might improve reflexes and memory (this is being studied), how they can be educational (e.g. trivia video games), and how they can help you relax. Gosh, all those potential benefits, and you may even have fun along the way! I could even wrap up this conversation by stating that video games are as varied as books and movies. There’s something for everyone.

Anyway, today is video games day, and you should definitely play at least one video game in honor of the day. If you’ve never played a video game before, give one a try. And if you don’t like it, try another. If you watched one movie and didn’t like it, would you stop watching movies altogether? No, you wouldn’t, because that’s just silly. You would try a different movie, rinse, and repeat.

If you don’t know what to play, or if you are curious as to what games are hidden in the Keep, or if you think of navigating through the Keep as playing some sort of video game, then just click the button at the bottom of this page and follow the prompts.

Seriously, just click it. You can check off the box for playing video games today if you have fun! An interactive novel counts as a video game, right?

I just looked it up, and it seems there is a debate on the subject, but I say that yes, this will count. And it counts as reading, too! And it could lead to the discovery of your next favorite thing! Why are you still here? Go to the Keep!
