What is Stories Keep?
It’s a place that keeps stories. Really, the titles say it all.
How does Stories Keep work?
Stories Keep appears in your world as a website that has the layout of an interactive novel. That part is called the Keep. You can begin by going to the homepage or any blog post and clicking the appropriate button to enter the Keep. Don’t worry, they’re clearly labeled. Once in, you’ll get further directions about what’s going on and where you can go next.
Basically, there are several worlds for you to explore, and each world has stories (books, movies, podcasts, etc.) hidden throughout that you can find. The stories are associated with their world in some way. For example, the castle world will have stories associated with castles. When you find a story, you’ll read a review about it, and then you’ll be given a link to a place in your world where you can see the story for yourself.
Here’s a button to take you to the Keep right now:
What do you mean when you say “your world”?
I mean your world, of course. You know the world you live in? That’s the one. I’m from a different world, and I also run the Keep, which provides access to even more worlds. That’s why I’m specific when referring to your world. I don’t want anyone getting too confused.
Do you write negative reviews?
No. There’s enough negativity. I’m not here to pan stories, only to recommend them.
So, if a story doesn’t appear in the Keep, does that mean you didn’t like it?
Not necessarily. Maybe I liked it but am waiting for the right world to show up. Or, more likely, I might not have come across the story at all. There are too many stories for any one person to handle, even a Keeper.
Will you review my book/movie/podcast/etc.?
I do not take recommendations for Stories Keep. I find stories as they naturally come across my path. Requesting me to review a specific story does not make it any more or less likely for it to appear on Stories Keep.
What kinds of stories do you review?
All kinds. You will find a little bit of everything here.
What’s a keeper?
First things first, it’s Keeper, not keeper. I am a Keeper who works with stories, guiding them on their way. I also manage the Keep, which contains several portals to other worlds where stories like to wander around and hang out.
Why do you keep referring to stories as if they’re sentient?
That’s because they are sentient. Maybe not in a way easily perceived, but trust me, they are.
While I was exploring one of the worlds, I saw something that I really wanted to check out, but there wasn’t an option to do so. Why not?
It’s an area that’s not ready to be explored yet. Don’t worry, though. The worlds will expand as more stories find their way in. When there is a new story to be found, an announcement will be made on the blog.
How often do new stories appear?
Stories do not keep to schedules. They come and go as they please. However, I will post to the blog about once a week.
Will there be more worlds to explore?
Yes, most definitely!
When will there be more worlds?
As with stories, portals do not keep to schedules. But don’t worry, I’ll let you know when there’s a new one.
What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
Then ask your question in the comments section of any blog post, and maybe it’ll get answered there, or maybe it’ll be added to this page. I make no guarantees about being able to answer all questions, though.
Can I just say that you have an awesome FAQ page?
Thanks!
