One year ago, I listed ten random facts about me. Click here to go and read that post. Now, it is time for ten more random facts, because the people of your world are obsessed with random facts for some reason. Not that I mind, for listing random facts can be quite fun. Anyway, on to the pertinent facts:
- I live in a cottage that’s close to the signpost you use when deciding which world to visit. You can’t actually go to my cottage, though, because I don’t let you. It’s just like how I don’t let you enter certain parts of other worlds. Just because you see a door doesn’t mean you can open it.
- I am rather fond of the color blue.
- I love jigsaw puzzles, and sometimes I find hidden stories among the pieces. Perhaps one day, some of these stories will find their way into the worlds of the Keep.
- I have started wearing my uniform more often. It’s so spiffy that I no longer want to save it only for special occasions. The stories agree with me, and they appreciate the spiffiness. Yes, I made that word up. Yes, I can do that. I’m the Keeper.
- I have been working with stories for as long as I can remember. They always knew that I was a Keeper. How, you ask? Stories know these things. Pay attention to what they have to say.
- I am well-known in each of the worlds in the Keep. Everyone knows who I am and what I do. They also understand about how stories are sentient, which leads to the next fact:
- I am always amazed that many people in your world don’t understand about stories. I will tell someone that stories are sentient, and they seem utterly perplexed by this. Well, each world is different, and your world is a very busy one that doesn’t have time to stop and pay proper attention. However, your world is still dedicated to stories in its own way (i.e. by understanding their importance) and for that the stories are grateful.
- I house a lot of stories that are either passing through, looking for a world of their own to settle down in, or just looking to hang out with the Keeper. Stories are constantly coming and going, and there are a lot of stories that decide my cottage is a good place to stay. Such as the one in my attic that likes the sound of its own voice.
- I still like noodles.
- I enjoy listing random facts. Okay, I did mention that before I started this list, but it still counts as a random fact, so I’m including it. I love finding out fascinating pieces of information here and there and then sharing said information with people who may or may not have actually been curious about it. I especially like sharing information with the stories, though. They’re always curious.
And there you have it. Ten more random facts about me. Maybe next year I’ll do ten more. But I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Why don’t you go visit the Keep and find a good story? It’s very fun, I promise.
