Seeing as how I’m new to your world, I thought I’d introduce myself a little. I am the Keeper, and it is my job to guide stories along, organize portals, and help people find the stories they need, etc.
You’re confused?
Basically, I run a place called the Keep. You can access the keep through the website of Stories Keep. It will let you temporarily go through portals to other worlds where you can find hidden stories, personally recommended by me.
Got it? Now, on to my ten facts.
- I have always been the Keeper, and I will always be the Keeper. Are you rolling your eyes? You’re thinking this is a trite thing to say? Tell you what, before you judge me, go visit the keep and its worlds. There’s never been something quite like this before. Not that I’m bragging.
- There is too much negativity in some worlds. Therefore, I will only recommend stories. I will not pan any.
- Sometimes the stories find me, sometimes I find them. Yes, they’re sentient. Haven’t you noticed?
- There’s a story in my attic that won’t stop talking. I haven’t found a proper world for it yet, so there it stays. Don’t worry, the story is happy there. I’m not always thrilled, though.
- I’m creating a story of my own. I’ll let you know more when the time comes.
- I have a knack for working with portals. They’re too finicky for most, but I find working with them rather fun. Keep checking back. The process for the next portal has begun.
- I know when there’s a story nearby. They just have a presence that they exude. You can get an idea of what this is like by going to a place with lots of stories, such as a library, and focusing on just how many stories are around you. That feeling of amazement at the sheer number of them and the wonder of what they contain is kind of like what I can do.
- I’m an ambivalent ambidextrous ambivert. Well, maybe I’m not so ambivalent, but it has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Perhaps I should say ambitious instead? Or ambiguous? No, none of those are quite right. I’ll find the right word eventually. Anyway, I’m also good at creating ambience, and I can be thought of as an ambassador to other worlds (I can do this all day). Oh, and I can be a bit adventure-prone from time to time.
- I like noodles.
- This job comes with a uniform. It’s rather spiffy. I like to save it for special occasions.
What’s that? You say you don’t know much more about me than you did before reading this? Nonsense, you just weren’t paying attention. Be patient, and I might tell you some more. But, I probably won’t. At least not yet. In the meantime, why not pay a visit to one of these worlds I keep mentioning? You’ll get the hang of things soon.
